New socks for my dear granny whose feet swell often, so I knit stretchy socks for her. Ususally I make rib all over the upper side of a sock.

Fisherman's socks

I named them Fisherman's socks, because of the colour. Again, I took thin homespun wool as basic thread and added rests of sock yarn in gray and blue tones. Needles 3,25 mm.

Еще одни носки  - в подарок дедушке на Рождество. Снова я брала тонкую домашнюю шерсть и добавляла остатки носочной пряжи в синих и серых тонах. Спицы 3,25 мм.

My new latvian wool arrived with my mom!

Red and white are from Limbazu Tine, the other unknown. Black is in the washer right now, because it dyed my hands zombi-blue as I tried to pull it into a ball. Hope 40 minutes in purgatory will help.

Приехала мама и привезла мне латвийскую пряжу! Белая и красная - от Limbazu Tine, остальная  - неизвестно. Черная в данный момент стирается в машине - она покрасила мне пальцы в мертвенно-голубой цвет, когда я пыталась смотать ее в клубок. Надеюсь, 40 минут в чистилище помогут.

I used very thin homespun wool joined with rests of my sock and lace yarn. Needles 3,25 mm.

I've knitted them yesterday, it really took only one day to finish them (which surprised me because I've always knitted socks with 2 or 2,5mm needles before ☺ )

Носочки в подарок маме на Рождество. За основу я взяла очень тонкую нить домашней шерсти и добавляла остатки своей носочной и платочной пряжи. Спицы номер 3,25.

Two side fingerless mittens

My hat took not so much wool I thought, so I desided to knit a pair of friends for it. Again very simple design to suit the hat and I can wear them in two ways!
*In the rib I knitted knit stiches in back loop

На шапку ушло меньше пряжи, чем я для нее купила, так что я решила связать ей парочку подружек-митенок ☺. Снова очень простой дизайн и их можно носить и так, и так!
* В резинке лицевые петли связаны за заднюю стенку

Crochet hook bind off

Actually the wider rip was not supposed to be that, I was just trying to bind it off loosely, but I love what I got in the end! I bound it off with a hook. Look how I did it:

1. Insert hook in two loops on the left needle.

2. Draw yarn through these two loops.

3-4. Draw yarn again through this new loop (make a chain stitch)

5. Place the loop again on the left needle.

Repeat till the end.

I'm sure this method has its name, but I don't know it ☺

My new hat

Very simple hat with fur pompom, but I like it ☺ Knitted in a day (couple of hours, actually), that's why I love bulky yarn!

Yarn: Lang Yarns Sempione, needles 6mm and 8mm.

Short description: CO 50 st, rib 2x2 with needle 6mm, then change to 8mm, increase 10 st evenly; knit stockinette st. and then make decreases (repeat k2tog) in last two right side rows.

Связалась за день (вернее, за пару часов), за это я и люблю толстую пряжу ))

Veronique WIP

My bolero in progress. After I took the picture I decided to make sleeves longer and to narrow them a little. I'm now finishing the second sleeve and will then add (or not) body lenght.

Болеро в процессе. Уже после того, как я сделала это фото, я решила сделать рукава длиннее и чуть сузить их. Сейчас уже заканчиваю второй рукав и буду, возможно, расширять полочки.
